Heather Day‘s most recent solo exhibit at the headquarter offices of Gensler in San Francisco features nearly thirty new works. Gensler is one of the world’s largest design and architecture firms, maintaining nearly 50 offices in 14 countries. Leading in sustainable and affordable housing, Gensler has been a fixture of Bay Area design since its formation in 1965.
Gensler employs a small rotation of artists annually to transform the walls of the firm into a prestigious display of local talent. Heather worked diligently to complete the large collection of new works for the rare invitation. Her non-objective compositions mimic one’s experience of nature in a colorful burst of overlapping texture and gestural mark-making. Works both on canvas and paper adorn the walls of the legendary firm, reaffirming the ideas of exterior and interior fusion as livable urban progress.
The show is on view through July 5. To schedule a viewing or to inquire about available works, contact info@athenbgallery.com
